Rating (4.8/5)
The Tracker Pro Team 190 TX has won the hearts of many as a bass boat, partly because the trolling motor is designed to facilitate the precise movement of the boat to wherever it wants to go. On the other hand, the space under the deck is effectively utilized. It makes the live well system, cooler, rod storage and many other additional features more conducive to fishing activities.
Below I will go over many aspects of the Tracker Pro Team 190 TX including driving feel, fishing feel, and specification details.

Driving Experience
As a typical carnivorous freshwater fish, perch is one of the most important swimming fish species in the United States with a fast growth rate. Lake Michigan, located on the border of Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan, is home to perch and is perfect for bass fishing. I met up with my two friends Peter and Steven to go to Lake Michigan to catch bass. The day we left was a beautiful day with a light breeze, which was perfect for the trip.
The boat we rented for this trip was a Tracker Pro Team 190 TX, very well suited for bass fishing. The boat docked at the lake ebbed and flowed with the water. My first impression of the boat as I walked on was that it was very textured. Since I had been out boating with my father and had experience driving a boat, my friends unanimously elected me to take on the driving duties on this trip.
Start-up Effect
I sat in the driver’s seat located on the right side of the boat and felt particularly comfortable in the seat behind me, with high-density padding that hugged my lower back well. My legs were fully stretched under the console, where there was enough space not to make me feel constricted.
I started the engine and the boat started heading offshore towards the center of the lake. My hands gripped the soft-touch sport steering wheel, which felt great without any hardness in my hands. The Single-cable, no-feedback rotary steering design ensured that my control of the boat was smooth and effortless as I slowly turned the wheel while the boat was steering.
At the same time, a series of multi-functional tachometer, fuel gauge, voltmeter, water pressure gauge and other instrument panels on the console greatly helped me fully understand the changes of various parameters during the boat’s journey and better grasp the safety of navigation.
Fishing Feeling
According to the console equipped with GPS, fish finder and other electronic devices, I drove the boat to the vicinity of the fish, shut down the somewhat noisy outboard engine. Peter saw the situation very tacitly and walked to the bow, using the foot to control the bow trolling motor and park the boat at the exact location planned by the monitor in the direction of where I pointed.
We removed the fishing gear from the storage space under the front deck and dropped the bait around the school of bass. Since the bass is a predatory fish, its bait will be different from other fish, and we took plastic worms as its bait on this trip.
The three of us stood on the deck casting the bait in different directions and sinking the plastic worm down to the bottom to wiggle it. Soon I felt a struggle under the rod against me, and I immediately pulled the rod back toward the retrieval line. As expected, there was a fairly small bass hanging from the hook, and I carefully removed the fish and placed it in the 21 gallon live well at the stern of the boat. Of course, the fishing seats on the fore and aft decks can be folded, swiveled and adjusted in height, so we can set them according to our personal habits.
Specification
The Tracker Pro Team 190 TX is very sensible in design, taking full account of the functionality and comfort of travel.
The single-cable, no-feedback rotary steering design ensures smooth and unobstructed steering. In addition, the console with color windshield and cell phone holder also takes into account the captain’s driving safety and the placement of his belongings.
The Tracker Pro Team 190 TX also does a great job with the detailed layout. The cockpit has storage under the center seat and there is also room for your various fishing and life saving equipment under the fore and aft decks. The live well located on the aft deck has a capacity of up to 21 gallon and is equipped with various amenities such as dividers, timer recirculators, pump out systems and more to do its best to keep the fish fresh. The setting of 4 drink holders in the cabin is convenient for passengers to access at any time, fully reflecting the considerateness of the designer.
Other versions
If you think the Tracker Pro Team 190 TX is a bit overpowered for you and you prefer a smaller boat, then the next Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW may be just right for you. Here is some information about the Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW that we hope will help you.
Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW
Tracker Pro Team 175 TXW and Tracker Pro Team 190 TX belong to the same Tracker brand bass boat series. They’re similar in the basic function of the design, but differ in some details.
First of all, the most obvious difference is in the size of the boat. 175 TXW is 17′ 7” in length, which is smaller than the other boat’s 18′ 7” hull length. Even though both boats have a maximum capacity of 4 people, the smaller size of the 175 TXW will inevitably cause a reduction in cabin space. This reduction in space is not only in the reduction of storage space, but also in the space for each passenger to become more crowded.
In addition, the 190 TX has a maximum horsepower of 125 HP, while the 175 TXW boasts a maximum horsepower of 75 HP. The reduction in horsepower may be due to the reduced weight of the smaller boat, and there is no need to use too much horsepower to drive the boat. On the other hand, the small horsepower will also have a certain degree of impact on the driving speed of the boat.
In fact, even the more affordable 175TXW is not cheap, so it’s not really friendly for people on a tight budget who want a new boat.
What we like about it
- The stability of the boat is commendable, as anglers can move freely around the deck and cast in different positions without the boat swaying excessively.
- The ship’s focus on detail is very thoughtful, and the under-stair cooler ensures that riders can enjoy a cold drink even in the heat of summer.
- The fuel gauge, tachometer, water pressure gauge, voltmeter and various other instrument panels can help the captain understand the relevant information during the ship’s journey.
- The Trolling motor is designed to steer the boat precisely to the designated location in a quieter form.
- The space in the cabin is fully utilized for storage, and fishing gear or other equipment can be placed under the cushion in the middle of the front and rear decks and cockpit.
- The 21 gallon live well system gives plenty of room to keep the bass fresh.
What we don’t like about it
- The maximum number of people that a boat can carry is generally not large, and this boat can only accommodate up to four people.

Nitro Z18 VS Tracker Pro Team 190 TX
The Nitro Z18 and Tracker Pro Team 190 TX share a great deal of similarity in terms of boat layout and size, but the former may be superior in terms of performance.
First of all, the Nitro Z18’s engine is numerically larger in terms of maximum horsepower, with its 175HP limit being higher than the Tracker boat’s 125HP maximum. This means that the former boat will generally travel faster and be able to reach the location you want to go in time. Secondly, the Nitro Z18 is also more advanced in terms of trolling motor design. The Minn Kota® Maxxum® 24V, 70 lbs trolling motor can ensure sufficient thrust for the boat to travel, and the boat will move faster and more nimbly accordingly. Finally, the Nitro Z18 has a larger live well capacity at the stern, with 30 gallon capacity to provide plenty of storage space for the bass caught.
Of course, the improved performance of the Nitro Z18 boat is reflected in the price, which is nearly $10,000 more expensive than the Tracker Pro Team 190 TX. If your budget is sufficient and want a boat with top performance, then the Nitro Z18 is a good choice.
Ranger Z185 VS Tracker Pro Team 190 TX
The Ranger Z185 and Tracker Pro Team 190 TX belong to the same bass boat category, but there are still some differences in the boat’s configuration.
The Ranger Z185 has a fuel capacity of 33 gallon, which is slightly larger than the Tracker Pro Team 190 TX 21.5 gallon capacity and may lead to an increase in the boat’s range and sailing distance. The Ranger Z185 has a 12V power outlet for passengers to power their portable electronic devices. The highlight of Tracker’s design is the cooler under the step, which can provide passengers with cool drinks especially in the hot summer.
In short, both of these ships are good choices and you can choose whichever one of them according to your needs.
Skeeter ZX190 VS Tracker Pro Team 190 TX
If you prefer a smaller sized boat, then the Skeeter ZX190 may be perfect for you.
The Skeeter ZX190’s boat length of 18′ 5″ is slightly smaller than the Tracker’s 18′ 7” body length. In addition, the Skeeter ZX190’s 26 gallon dual live well system not only has independent fill and recirculation drainage modes, but holds the two separated live wells to facilitate some interesting matches between anglers. In addition, the two fishing seats located at the bow and stern of the boat may not be as good as the Tracker in terms of riding experience. After all, the two bike seats with fixed rods are without seat backs. But on the other hand, this more streamlined design will take up less space.
Summary
If you are looking for a bass boat for fishing, then this Tracker Pro Team 190 TX may be a good choice. Especially for those who value the ride and driving experience, the cockpit setup and various humanized facilities of this boat are simply very well thought out.
Of course, if you are on a limited budget, then the cheaper alternative version Angler’s Bliss may be more to your liking. For more information about the boat, please feel free to contact us.
