The Barletta LUSSO 25QSS is really a luxury configuration in the range of recreational pontoon boats. This boat has larger dimensions and carries a maximum of 14 people.
This four-person lounge layout is perfect for those who want to relax in ultra-comfortable lounge chairs. Meanwhile, the clear enclosure along the side of the boat is perfect for children or pets who are curious about sailing to observe the surroundings of the boat.

Driving Experience
After ending the company’s most important order this year, everyone finally breathed a sigh of relief. Once the tense nerves were relaxed, we felt physically and mentally exhausted. In order to reward everyone’s hard work over this period of time, I, as the boss, planned to take the studio staff out for a boat trip.
The studio I personally set up only has about ten employees, and considering the comfort of the ride, I chose this Barletta LUSSO 25QSS on the advice of the charter company.
The excursion was set on a lake in our area. When we arrived at the shore and saw the boat, the first thing that struck me visually was its treasured blue color, paired with silver-gray furnishings, which gave me a premium feel.
Passing through the hatch and wide walkway along the side of the boat, I made my way to where the cockpit was located. The floor where the cockpit seat sat was a few inches higher than the deck, and I was able to sit on it to get a better view of the crew and the surrounding water from higher up.
The setup for the captain’s chair was also very thoughtful, as I slid the seat back and forth to position it according to my height and driving habits, and the seat also supported 360-degree swivel. There was also plenty of room under the console for my legs to stretch out.
Priming Effect
I turned on the engine and pushed the right throttle lever forward and the boat slowly left the shore. I was able to monitor the parameters of the voyage in real time through the tachometer and speedometer on the console, but to my surprise, these instrument panels were not just mechanical displays, but could also be switched to other modes to view oil pressure, voltage, and other parameters of other important components in the cabin.
The boat sailed smoothly under my control. I grabbed my glass of water from the right hand stand and pressed the Bimini top control button next to it. With the front and rear roofs designed to cover a wider area of the cabin from the hot sun, the Bimini top was raised to create a private space for us to relax.
I turned on the upgraded Hertz Marine stereo system to deliver high quality music to all corners of the cabin through the six speakers, bringing the party atmosphere to a small climax. The party atmosphere reached a small climax.
Riding Experience
I anchored the boat in a less windy spot and turned off the engine to join the group. Although the boat had a total of four long, spacious sofas at the bow and stern, I preferred the one on the left side of the stern. The main feature of this sofa was the adjustable backrest, which could be moved back and forth almost 180 degrees to my liking.
The sofa was also soft and comfortable to the touch when I fully reclined the backrest and lay down with my face towards the bow. At the back of the front sofa was a small folding table, very convenient for us to put our belongings, even for a casual lunch.
It was also a great experience to get in the water and swim in the crystal clear waters over here. I saw several of my colleagues jumping into the water through the spacious deck at the stern and wandering around our boat. Of course, the stainless steel retractable ladder at the stern reached into the water and helped swimmers to use the power to get into the boat. A very humanized design!
There’s also a cool feature on this boat that we called doggie dock view, and that’s where I think the highlights were. I brought our Golden Lucky on board, as far as I can remember he has always loved playing in the water, and every time we watered the garden at home he was very excited to dash in the direction of the water jet.
The Barletta LUSSO 25QSS enjoyed a small transparent window where the side door was, through which Lucky could see the waves outside. As we described earlier, this is a very pet-friendly boat, with a special place for food and water for your pet under the console, and the lower height is just right for my baby pet Lucky.
Specification
The Barletta LUSSO 25QSS is a very comfortable vacation boat. The four long sofa setup is not only spacious so you can recline and stretch out as much as you like, but the seats are also soft and comfortable to ride on with this high density material padding.
Each sofa has armrests and backrests set up on the side in an effort to fit your riding habits. There is storage space underneath almost every sofa, and the plastic is good for storing some wet items without having to think about difficult cleanup.
The Barletta LUSSO 25QSS has also put some thought into the design of the cockpit. The cockpit floor is a few inches higher than the deck to give the captain a better view of his surroundings, and there’s plenty of legroom under the console to stretch out. There are only two gauges on the console, but the captain can adjust the gauge data to learn more about other parameters, including voltage and oil pressure.
Of course, the various user-friendly amenities stand out on this boat. The pet-friendly design is tailor-made for people like me who want to get out on the boat with their pets. The doggie dock view and the little drawer for dog treats is a great opportunity for pets who are naturally water lovers to get closer to the lakes.
Other Version
In fact, when I chartered the boat, the charter company introduced me to another boat in the series, but on balance I think we would like the ride of the sofa better, so I ended up choosing the Barletta LUSSO 25QSS.
There’s nothing wrong with knowing more about the boat if you’re looking to buy one, and I’m going to introduce you to another boat in the series below, which I hope will be helpful to you.
Barletta LUSSO 25QCSS
The Barletta LUSSO 25QSS is identical in terms of basic specifications when compared to the Barletta LUSSO 25QCSS. There is no difference when it comes to the vessel’s deck length, fuel capacity or engine horsepower.
Their differences are mainly centered on the layout of the seats inside the boat, with the latter being designed with not only four sofa benches, but also a co-captain’s chair inside the boat. For the captain who is driving hard, it is also very considerate to have a deputy beside him who can take over at any time.
Of course, the addition of the captain’s chair in the limited space will inevitably compress the sofa area to a certain extent, which will eliminate my favorite adjustable sofa backrest, one of the factors I chose the 25QSS.
What do we like about it
- Four long, soft and comfortable sofas in the cabin provide plenty of space for passengers to relax at their leisure.
- The ruby blue color of the boat’s surface paired with the silver-gray furniture gives it a visually premium feel.
- The double Bimini top is designed to cover a wider area of the cabin, giving passengers a shade.
- The boat is pet-friendly, with small clear windows in the side doors for easy access to never-before-seen views of the water.
- The cabins are equipped with a premium upgraded Hertz Marine stereo system with 6 speakers, subwoofer and 1500W amplifier, providing passengers with the ultimate in sound quality.
- Even with only a tachometer and speedometer on the console, the captain can adjust the instrument panel to view various boat parameters such as oil pressure and voltage.
What we don’t like about it
- The higher deadweight of the 3,793-pound vessel results in higher fuel consumption for the engine and high subsequent costs for the vessel.
- This boat does not have an advantage in price due to the added branding.
FAQ
1. Can a pontoon boat sink?
Typically, pontoon boats are suitable for use in still water and are not well suited for navigating in rough water. Therefore, relatively speaking, the safety of pontoon boats has a certain degree of guarantee and standardized driving is not easy to sink.
2. Can pontoon boats go in the ocean?
As we mentioned earlier, pontoon boats are not suitable for rough waters, and the ocean is still a bit treacherous for pontoon boats. Even if you do need to take your boat out to sea, remember to wash your boat with fresh water when you return from the voyage to avoid damage to the boat’s components from the high salt content.
3. How to clean a pontoon boat?
Proper maintenance of the boat later in life is also very important to extend the life of the boat. When a pontoon boat is not used for an extended period of time, the boat needs to be placed on a trailer and out of the water, and the exterior of the boat needs to be deep cleaned to clear the attachment of marine growths to prevent them from affecting the performance of the boat.

Bennington Q25 Quad Bench VS Barletta LUSSO 25QSS
Perhaps you prefer luxury interior appointments when shopping for a boat? If so, take a look at the Bennington boats, where the Bennington Q25 Quad Bench has a similar space layout to the Barletta LUSSO 25QSS.
The Bennington Q25 Quad Bench has a maximum capacity of 18 people, and the fiberglass hull is more stable under sail, but also more costly in terms of boat maintenance. Bennington also strives for the best in pursuit of user-friendliness.
The large LCD screen on the console clearly displays the boat’s parameters, making it easy to capture information about the boat even from a distance. There is also an advanced wireless charging function, so you no longer need to be anxious about your cell phone running out of battery due to forgetting the data cable.
Of course, the Bennington’s luxurious configuration comes with a hefty price tag, which is not really friendly to those with a limited budget.
Harris Solstice DC 250 VS Barletta LUSSO 25QSS
If you’re partial to wheat-colored skin and want to get a tan while blowing in the steamy lake breeze, then I’d recommend this Harris Solstice DC 250 for you.
The biggest difference between this boat and the Barletta is the aft sunbathing platform, which is spacious enough to maximize your sunbathing needs. In addition, the design of the passenger’s seat is one of the most unique features of the Barletta.
The captain’s mate can take over when he feels tired at the wheel, which is a very humanized consideration. In terms of range, the Barletta’s 63 gallon fuel tank ensures that the boat will last longer and cover more miles.
Manitou 25 Legacy SRS SHP vs Barletta LUSSO 25QSS
The Manitou 25 Legacy SRS SHP has some ingenuity in the design of the sofas compared to the Barletta LUSSO 25QSS.
Unlike the latter’s straightforward four sofas, Manitou has made some changes to the design of the two sofas at the stern. Rather than just being long sofas for lounging only, they are actually two opposing seats, one of which has a backrest that can be adjusted to be perfectly parallel to the seat.
This dual-purpose sofa design not only satisfies the individual’s need for comfort, but also facilitates face-to-face communication between two people, bringing them closer to each other. In addition, the Manitou comes with an extra footrest under the seat, which provides a greater degree of comfort even for a single person.
Of course, the Manitou also boasts handling and power that is hard to match on any other boat. The V-like hull design delivers aggressive handling that almost rivals fiberglass hulls. Coupled with this boat’s superior maneuverability, it reaches 30 mph in just 5.9 seconds. That’s power for almost any type of boat, and it’s nothing less than impressive.
Summary
The Barletta LUSSO 25QSS features ultra-comfortable reclining seats as its greatest advantage, and the arrangement of the four long sofas enables a great experience for more passengers. Transparent side doors for pets and children allow them to enjoy the view of the water while ensuring safety.
Of course, with this design plus the branding, Barletta’s price might put some pressure on some boat buyers. Even if this is the case for you, don’t worry, we will introduce you to the right boat for your situation, so feel free to contact us.
