Does the fact that this boat is so complete appeal to you? If you are interested in this, then below I will give a full description of the boat in terms of how it feels to drive, how it feels to ride, and the specification details, which I hope will help you.

Overall Impression

My wife and I just recently got married. Because we both work too busy recently, I had not been able to find time to properly accompany her. I felt a little regret, so I decided to prepare a surprise for her.

Just a few days ago she casually mentioned that she wanted to go to the beach. I silently kept this in mind and prepared in advance. I felt that the pure beach trip was not particularly memorable points, and I wanted to give her an unforgettable memory.

After a few thoughts, I decided to rent a boat to take her on a sea trip, and it just so happened that I had previous experience in driving a boat. On the advice of the charter company, I chose this Grady-White Freedom 375 for our trip.

I picked a sunny, calm day, perfect for boat cruising. But when I saw the boat with my wife, I was immediately drawn to its simple, airy white exterior.

I took my wife aboard this ship, and after showing her around in the cabin, I was ready to sail the front boat along the coastline to the distance, believing that the scenery in the distance would not disappoint us.

Spacious Cockpit

My wife didn’t react to the surprise, but she stayed by my side, and I felt that she relied on me even more. Under the hardtop with AV²® enclosure, the cockpit was located on the right side of the cabin.

Luckily, the dual console design in the cockpit was big enough to accommodate both me and her. Sitting in the two-seater driver’s seat, the soft sofa was very comfortable to touch, and the seat cushions could be flipped up to help me get a wider view of my surroundings.

Of course, the cockpit in front of me was also very spacious, with buttons for the various parts of the boat neatly arranged. There were also two cup holders in front of the co-pilot, just enough to put down drinks for both of us.

As I started the engines, the three 425HP engines in the stern began to work and I felt a strong thrust driving the boat off. Even with the boat being a full 36’7″ in length, I didn’t feel bulky driving it, thanks to the powerful engines.

Riding Experience

Seeing that the ship was getting farther and farther away from the coastline, the view of the shore gradually began to blur, but the beauty of the sea became clear. The sky in the distance revealed a slight pink haze that connected with the end of the sea.

For safety reasons, I turned off the engine and didn’t move the boat deeper into the ocean. Having been out for quite a long time and currently approaching dusk, I took the pre-prepared food from the refrigerator by the bar and heated it slightly in the microwave.

After that I joined my wife for dinner on the U-shaped sofa in the bow of the boat, with a small collapsible tabletop just right for our food.

Night was soon over the sea, and the ship was luxuriously appointed enough for us to stay for a short time. After showering in the cabin space in front of the console, we both lay down on the sofa bed on the other side of the vessel and snuggled up to each other.

Through the electronic sliding skylight, we admired the sparkling starry sky outside, a rare serenity away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Of course, the cabin’s thermostatic air-conditioning settings maintained a pleasant temperature, and the generator was churning out a steady stream of electricity for daily living.

Specification

The Grady-White Freedom 375 is a boat that has earned a lot of applause for its luxurious cabin appointments and full range of features.

Soft, comfortable seating is found throughout the cabin, including the driver’s seat. The two-person cockpit is spacious, and the controls are clearly separated from each other.

The boat is covered by the hardtop with AV²® enclosure, with a sofa bed on one side designed for short term stays and a wash shower on the other.

There is also a small bar at the rear of the console with a small fridge designed to bring you some cold drinks in the afternoon, plus a 1300w grill for a unique barbecue experience even at sea. If you like to fish, this boat will satisfy that hobby as well, with a live well aft and a 208qt Fish box to keep the trophies fresh.

Other Version

A smaller type of the Grady-White Freedom 375 exists in the same series, the Grady-White Freedom 335.

The Grady-White Freedom 375 doesn’t differ too much from the Grady-White Freedom 335 in terms of basic feature set, with significant differences centered on size and performance.

The Grady-White Freedom 335 is a little smaller in comparison, but at over 33 feet long, it’s really not that small. In terms of the boat’s engine, a maximum of 900HP is a good match for the boat’s weight of 13,090 pounds.

Of course, this also results in a smaller fuel capacity, which may have an impact on the boat’s range.

What we like about it

  • A triple 425HP engine provides the boat with a powerful boost.
  • This boat is very versatile in terms of functionality for short term stays.
  • The ship’s own generator in the cabin delivers power for daily living.
  • The aft live well and Aft Fish Box can store a large amount of fish to keep it fresh for a certain period of time.
  • Cabin tops with sliding skylights provide passengers with privacy while enjoying views of the sky.

What we don’t like about it

  • Such luxury features comes a hefty price tag, causing a lot of stress for those on a limited budget.
  • Thousands of pounds of boat weight also consumes a staggering amount of fuel while underway, and with the necessary regular maintenance, the boat’s subsequent expenses are not insignificant.

FAQ

1. Can a bay boat go offshore?

According to the basic design of the hull, the bay boat is able to go out to sea, but it is also limited to offshore waters, preferably not too far from the coastline. Because on the one hand, in the depths of the ocean, the hydrological conditions are unpredictable, and the rough waves are still difficult for the bay boat to fight. On the other hand, the limited storage space of a bay boat is not enough to sustain a long voyage.

2. How far can a bay boat go offshore?

While Gulf vessels support navigation in the ocean, it is limited to around the coastline. Under the condition that the fuel capacity is supported, for the consideration of safety, it is best for the boat not to stay away from the coastline for more than 20 kilometers. Of course, if the day is windy and rough, it is best not to go out on the boat, even if you insist on going out on the boat, you must take all kinds of protective measures just in case.

3. How much does a bay boat weigh?

Generally speaking, the weight of a common bay boat on the market today averages around 2,500 pounds. Of course depending on the size and fitment of the boat, there is still a large variation in the weight of bay boats. In the case of the Grady-White Freedom 375 that we have mentioned, the boat weighs in at around 16,250 pounds, making it an oversized boat.

Boston Whaler 350 Realm vs Grady-White Freedom 375

The Boston Whaler 350 Realm and the Grady-White Freedom 375 are both luxuriously appointed boats, and the difference between the two of them in terms of boat performance isn’t that great; the main difference is centered on layout.

The Boston Whaler 350 Realm doesn’t limit its seating to a traditional bench sofa; there is a folding sofa seat immediately aft of the boat, which, along with the forward and backward adjustments of the sofa’s backrests, makes it easy to change the direction of the ride.

Under the aft seat is a cooler large enough to hold a variety of chilled beverages. While both boats were designed with grills, the location choices differ.

Unlike the Grady-White’s arrangement, which is separate by the bar, the Boston places the smokeless grill next to the aft seats, a design that improves convenience but the heat from the grill will more or less affect the leather on the sofa surface over time.

Alternatively, the spacious upholstery in front of the Boston console can be used as a place to soak up the sun, where there’s little extra shade and plenty of room to lay back and relax.

Cobia 350 Center Console vs Grady-White Freedom 375

If you will be looking more at the implementation of fishing features when choosing a boat, then this Cobia 350 Center Console may be able to meet your needs.

First of all, the Cobia 350 Center Console has a 21.6 degree deadrise, which is still a little bit bigger than the Grady-White’s 20 degree camber, and accordingly the boat will cut through the water better.

Secondly, the Cobia’s center console design gives the captain a better view of the boat, which is safer for the boat’s safety.

Lastly, the Cobia’s powerful fishing capabilities are made possible by two 42 gallon bait tanks, two huge floor fish boxes, a full tackle station and bait prep area, and a lockable hidden below-deck rod storage locker, and the spacious cockpit has plenty of room for a group of anglers.

Sea Ray Sundancer 350 Coupe vs Grady-White Freedom 375

Would you prefer a luxuriously appointed cabin? If you answered yes, then this Sea Ray Sundancer 350 Coupe might be perfect for you.

The Sea Ray Sundancer 350 Coupe is able to provide passengers with a feeling of extreme comfort. The spaciousness of the cabin is multifunctional, and the galley with microwave, refrigerator, 2 gas stoves and pantry is large enough to entertain and serve a variety of meals, drinks and snacks on board.

To guarantee the abundance of space in the cabin, the foredeck of the boat is padded. You can lie down on the soft cushions on the foredeck and feel the more soothing breeze from higher up.

Summary

The Grady-White Freedom 375 attracts a lot of attention with its ample space and luxury features. At around 37 feet long, the boat is equipped with dual consoles, making it easier and more convenient for the captain to steer.

Plus the hardtop with AV²® enclosure, cabin interior air conditioning, electronic sliding sunroof, and SureShade ® all add to the comfort level.

Of course, with such a luxurious setup, it’s only natural that the Grady-White Freedom 375 comes with a high price tag.
