Driving Experience

A healthy tan is something I’ve always wanted, and after a winter of thickly wrapped clothing my complexion has been white again. In time for summer, I planned to get a wheat-colored tan as soon as possible. My friends and I were planning to rent a boat and go out to the water to sunbathe, a pleasant environment with no shade, very rare.

We picked a sunny vacation based on the weather forecast and finalized the Princecraft Vectra 21 for our outing. This boat is popular for its simplicity and practicality. I walked onto the boat and was immediately attracted to the cockpit.

The premium driver’s seat with swivel function allowed me to easily sense all directions without having to worry about a fixed position while driving. Sitting in the captain’s chair, I felt the high-density foam padding wrapped around my body, which was very soft and skin-friendly to the touch.

The various gauges and screens on the console in front of me provided a full range of functions, and this rotomolded cockpit with an acrylic top was very practical. I’m sure I had an okay experience driving this boat.

As the boat set sail under my control, the gauges on the console immediately pointed to the appropriate data, and I glanced at the dials to learn about the boat’s voltage, RPM, and other relevant parameters. As the sun moved away from the thin cloud cover, the sunlight became more and more glaring. I put on my sunglasses for safety reasons.

By the time the boat was nearing the mooring area, I turned on the button for the 160-watt AM/FM/Bluetooth Jensen stereo on the console. The pleasing music flowed through the four waterproof speakers equipped in the cabin, providing us with more comfort on this trip.

Riding Experience

The boat arrived at its destination with me steering it smoothly, a stretch of water without much shade and a light breeze, perfect for sunbathing. The two long sofas at the bow were spacious and comfortable, more than enough room for two people to chat.

Just as I like to be closer to my friends, it was not a bad idea to have three people on these sofas. The aft sundeck was the most prominent feature of the boat and my favorite part. The cushioned sunpad had a spacious storage area at the rear, which served both storage and passenger purposes.

I lay back on the platform and was able to stretch my body out, occasionally flipping it over to ensure an even tan. There was some storage space underneath each of the sofa seats, so even though we were carrying quite a few items there was plenty of room to store them.

The Harris Cruiser 210 and the Princecraft Vectra 21 have similar highlights, with the sunbathing platform at the stern attracting a lot of attention.

The Avalon LSZ Cruise 21FT is actually not much different from the Princecraft Vectra 21.

However, two brands have different detail considerations. The former’s mechanical tilt steering system ensures that the boat steers smoothly, and the captain’s hands feel good on the black soft-grip steering wheel without feeling a pinch.

The vinyl flooring arrangement adds another level of quality to the boat, and this marine grade material is very maintenance friendly. The Avalon has also expanded the rear deck in order to give the aft sundeck more room to move around.
