- Reference price: from $43,995

What we don’t like about it: The larger engine horsepower causes its higher fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
Rating (4.7/5)
With an all-welded aluminum hull, the TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT not only has a roomy interior that can accommodate up to eight people at a time, but the wrap-around windshield protects the captain and passengers as much as possible from inclement weather. This boat has the advantage of boating in choppy waters like no other bass boat.
Below, I will give a detailed account of the TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT in terms of its driving feel, fishing feel and specification layout.

Driving Experience
Most of the bass live near the entrance of rivers and belong to salty and freshwater fish. But since the hull design of some bass boats is not very suitable for navigating in choppy waters, I just never had the opportunity to go. Recently my friend Andrew purchased a new TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT, which is so good for rough water. As soon as I received Andrew’s request to go out fishing with him, I immediately agreed.
We were joined by Bruce and Dan, old friends. Even though we are experienced anglers, we were all looking forward to this trip, after all, for it’s not often that you get to go out on a boat in rough waters like this. My first impression of the TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT when I saw it on the shore was that it was cool. The dark blue color scheme and the grainy glossy coating design fit my aesthetic perfectly.
Walking on this boat, with the rhythm of the water wave hull up and down, although not very smooth, I dispersed worries about the safety of the problem. The fully welded V-shaped hull with wide beam and stable bottom, combined with the nearly 35 degree bow tilt, allows for smoother, drier sailing in rough waters.
Cockpit Details
I showed great interest in this type of boat, and Andrew intended to let me experience driving it by guiding me from the passenger seat next to him, which I readily agreed to do. I sat in the driver’s seat, sliding the seat position to suit my height and riding habits. Also, this seat had air dampening so that it didn’t feel too bumpy when driving through the waves.
Andrew showed me how to start the engine and the boat was soon heading deeper into the water with plenty of horsepower and a spacious console with a separate instrument panel and controls. Andrew also told me that the dashboard’s pointer is glow-in-the-dark, so that even at night it clearly indicates fuel, RPM and other relevant information.
I think the most obvious visual highlight of this boat is the wrap-around windshield. The integrated wrap-around walking windshield of the driver’s and passenger’s seats can ensure that even in bad weather, the environmental impact on the boat’s personnel is minimized and protected from the wind and rain. Of course, this design may cause a certain degree of inconvenience to the passage of people.
Fishing Feeling
The boat soon arrived at the location indicated by the fish finder and we were all eager to take out our fishing rods and various fishing gear from below deck. Perch have a mixed diet and are typical carnivorous fish. Because of its gluttonous characteristics, this also causes the bass to bite easily and is relatively easy to fish. We each cast our rods and waited for the fish to take the bait, and it didn’t take long to harvest a lot. We chose to place our trophies in the two live wells at the bow or stern of the boat, and the ample capacity allowed us to fish to our heart’s content without worrying about the loading capacity.
The cabin’s three movable, 360-degree rotating and locking folding fishing seats met my needs for fishing from all directions. The pneumatic height adjustment and air-absorbing seat base further ensured a comfortable ride, more in line with my daily riding habits.
Specification
The TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT presents powerful performance as a bass boat for wave driving.
In the cockpit setup, the fixed position sliding luxury driver’s seat is not only height adjustable, but also features air shock absorption. The padded sport steering wheel feels comfortable in the hand, and SeaStar® tilt hydraulic steering ensures smooth steering of the vessel.
The port and starboard roto-molded consoles with wrap-around windshields provide better safety for the captain and passengers. Lockable storage space in front of the secondary consoles, beverage holders and small item trays provide easy access to a number of belongings.
In the layout of the hull, two live wells at the bow and stern with a total of 49 gallons ensure sufficient space capacity. 35 degree bow inclination and V-shaped hull make the boat more suitable for sailing in rough waters. The area under the bow deck provides enough storage space for various fishing gear and life-saving equipment.
Of course, the maximum 225 HP engine provides enough power to support the boat’s speed drive, and the 47 gallon fuel tank allows you to make long trips to your favorite fishing spots.
Other versions
If you think the TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT is a bit too much for you and prefer a smaller size, then take a look at the TRACKER TARGA V-18 WT. Here is a brief introduction to the TRACKER TARGA V-18 WT and I hope it will be of help to you.
TRACKER TARGA V-18 WT
TRACKER TARGA V-18 WT is similar to TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT in terms of basic configuration and functions, but there may be slight differences in size and capacity.
The hull length of V-18 WT is reduced to 18′ 2”, and the maximum number of passengers decreases to 6, which is more suitable for some trips with smaller number of people. In addition, in terms of engine settings, 200HP is already considered powerful in bass boats, but the actual horsepower of the V-19 WT will be higher.
Of course, the V-19 WT’s superior performance also brings an increase in price, which is about $4000 more expensive compared to the other boat. In fact, both boats are not very friendly in terms of price for people on a budget due to the branding.

Crestliner 1950 Super Hawk VS TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT
If you’re looking for a more comfortable boat to ride, then the Crestliner 1950 Super Hawk might be a good choice.
First of all, in terms of seating, the Crestliner 1950 Super Hawk has a higher load limit of 9 people. The stern jump seats are also equipped with storage space for drinks and tackle trays. This seat will be more comfortable in the ride experience, and the seat side handle can further ensure the stability of the passenger ride, but compared to professional fishing chairs, its lack of height and direction adjustment function, will somewhat affect fishing experience.
The Crestliner is also quite thoughtful in its detailed layout. The cockpit’s snap-on MARINEAT flooring keeps your feet comfortable and is also mold and mildew-resistant and shock-absorbent. The bow platform cushion with snap-on cushion and cushion pillow provides additional resting space.
In short, both of these boats are good choices and you can shop for them according to your needs.
Phoenix 920 Pro XP VS TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT
Compared to the TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT, the Phoenix 920 Pro XP has a larger boat size, with a full hull length of around 20 feet 6 inches. At the same time, Phoenix’s more spacious deck also brings ample space for storing various fishing gear and life-saving equipment. In fact, the most obvious difference between the two boats in terms of appearance is in the windshield. The TRACKER wrap-around windshield can better protect the captain and passengers from bad weather.
From the point of view of the boat material, Phoenix’s fiberglass is more malleable and the ride will be smoother. However, the aluminum hull of TRACKER will be stronger and more durable, and the fuel usage efficiency will be higher.
Skeeter FX20 VS TRACKER TARGA V-19 WT
